How to Plant Seeds of Cape Gooseberry
1. Seed treatment
Before planting, you can soak them in warm water for 2-4 hours to absorb water. Then, sow the seeds in the substrate, moisten them and cover them to prevent moisture from escaping. The seeds will germinate after 7-14 days.
2. Moving the plant
When the first leaves appear, you should move them to a small pot and place them in a place with light and open space, avoiding skinny plants due to lack of light.
Water the plant gently and moisten it enough. When the plant is big enough, it can be planted in the garden or in a large pot. The reasonable distance between plants is 50-70cm.
Note that the spinach is a year-round fruiting tree, so it needs care to produce more and better quality fruit. In particular, regular watering will help the spinach tree produce a lot of fruit.
3. Harvesting the fruit
After 80 days, the fruit can be harvested. When the fruit is ripe, the outer skin turns light brown and the fruit falls to the ground. The fruit can be kept for 3-4 weeks inside the leaf skin.
